You (the player) are the cashier at the National Neopian Bank, it is very busy, as it is nearly all the time. People come in by the busload to deposit their money and a nasty lot of thieves have decided to steal as much of the hard-earned neopoints as they can possibly get their hands on.
The barrier between the thieves and the neopoints, is the alarm system that easily shuts them out with bars. This security system isn't automatically turned on either, it's your job as the cashier (and security guard) to work the system to keep the robbers out and the customers pouring in.
There are 6 doors to the bank, probably because of the astounding amount of customers (and not so nice characters) that visit the only bank in Neopia. Anyway, anyone can just pop in through these doors, you just have to keep your eye on all doors and activate the system when you believe that it is needed!
To control this system that I keep talking about, you have to use the keys S, D, F, J, K, L, each door is controlled by one of these letters. So it might even help if you can type without looking at the keys! The first three go with the doors on the left and the last three buttons go with the doors to the right. When you see a robber, just press the button that corresponds with the correct door.
Some of the customers and how much they deposit each time:
The customers will always deposit while the menaces to society below will always try to steal those neopoints!
The robbers:

There is also a red techo in a grey shirt that starts showing up later in the game, he is the mystery criminal that TNT were talking about. The robbers always look the same, so it is always easy to identify them and shut them out, while saving those neopoints!
As you progress thoughout the game, these characters will show up more often, causing an increase in game speed and a higher level. This easy game can turn into a tricky one quite quickly!
In a game, you start with three lives and no neopoints. Your neopoints in the game will be built up quickly as more characters visit the bank but if you lock a potential bank cusomer out, you will lose one life.
You may lock the wrong door during the game or lock one without any reason. In this case (if you haven't shut a custoer out) you will lose 10nps of those in the game, that security system is costly to maintain. In another case, where you don't lock a robber out in time, then you will lose half of the neopoints in the game (your neopoints wont be touched!) and you will lose one life.
If you are worried about the robbers taking too many neopoints, there is an option of turning 100nps into a gold bar, therefore making it too heavy for the robbers to lift and steal! Just press the spacebar when you have 100nps, if you do that and don't have enough, then you will lose 10nps. If you like, you might want someone to sit there and watch you play the game, if you get enough nepoints for a gold bar, they could tell you/make a buzz sound or something. This saves time for you to be watching the doors and not looking from the doors to your neopoints all the time!
Just some interesting/helpful tips and hints that can help you play better!
Unfortunately, there isn't an avatar for the game but you can win one of these shiny trophies for your trophy cabinent, if you get a high score!
